Job Brief

Lapeng Custom Builders (LCB) is looking for a competent Building Project Site Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at a building project site. As the point of reference of both workers, inspectors and managers, you will be a key person for the completion of our project. The Building Site Foreman should have a solid background in the home building field. Proven leadership skills and extensive experience in directing the work of others and making quick decisions is required. You must be a well-organized, timely producer of reports and someone who favours safety above everything else.

Functional Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate building tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities
  • Enforce the company’s directions, policies, procedures, quality and safety standards, while meeting building milestone deadlines.
  • Supervise and train workers & craft people
  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
  • Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
  • Resolve problems when they arise
  • Produce timely reports on progress to managers, engineers, inspectors, owner, etc.
  • Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of LCB, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.

Requirements

Job Brief

Lapeng Custom Builders (LCB) is looking for Skilled Craft Workers – Bricklayers to join a construction team in a building project site located within a high-profile estate. You will be responsible for laying out the structural framework of residential buildings using bricks and mortar in accordance with approved construction plans and estate regulations. The Bricklayer should have a good eye for straightness and a certain degree of manual dexterity. Several years of experience and proven background in stringent estate home building environment will be an advantage.

Functional Role & Responsibilities

  • Report directly and contribute timely reports on progress to Site Foreman
  • Perform building tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Set-up daily profiles, lay bricks, build walls, chimneys, fireplaces, and other structures.
  • Work with concrete and cinder blocks, tile, marble, and terra cotta.
  • Be punctual and meet schedules

Junior Project Engineer Job Duties:

  • Develops project objectives by reviewing client request, project proposals and plans; conferring with service suppliers and management.
  • Determines project phases with Gantt chart and assigning responsibilities and resources to phases and elements;
  • Reviews bids from suppliers and contractors.
  • Determine and monitor project specifications by studying house design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies;
  • Preparing building cost estimates and BoQ
  • Determines and monitors building schedule by studying building project plan, Gantt chart and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing building elements, etc

Architectural Drafter (JOB POST CLOSED)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1) Data Capturing

  • Conduct meetings with potential customers to obtain and assemble data to complete house plans and architectural designs.
  • Visit proposed or existing job sites to compile measurements as required.
  • Create freehand drawings based on customer expectations.

2) House Plan Preparation

  • Draw rough and detailed to scale house plans for buildings and facilities including lay out, foundations, structures and interior room arrangements based on preliminary concepts gathered from customer meeting.
  • Operate computer-aided drafting equipment or conventional drafting station as required to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
  • Prepare 3D Models as required including building landscape, architectural and display models.
  • Prepare colored drawings of landscape and interior designs for presentation to clients.
  • Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans.

4) Standards Interpretation & Technical Support

  • Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
  • Determine and document in drawings the procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of materials required.
  • Prepare cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents and technical reports for specific projects under an architect’s supervision.
  • Review calculated heat loss and gain of buildings and structures to determine required equipment specifications, following standard procedures and document in drawings.

5) Verify Compliance with Architectural & Structural Drawings at Construction Sites

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure ongoing building work is compliant with approved house plan design specifications.
  • Advise on design corrections for architect and engineer’s consideration as applicable.
  • Process approval of house plan design changes and support site with implementation of changes.

Lapeng Custom Builders (LCB) is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join a vibrant residential homes construction team. You will be responsible for developing a system for recording and maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions, and ensuring legal requirements compliance. You will be expected to be knowledgeable of regulatory and legal requirements, guide adherence to requirements, file reports, and proactively advise management on needed actions.

 

Functional Role & Responsibilities

  • Report directly and contribute timely reports to LCB’s MD.
  • Enhance accounting system for financial transactions by establishing spreadsheets, databases, or charts of accounts.
  • Define bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all types of accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents.
  • Arrange payment of accounts.
  • Prepare and send invoices and receipts to customers.
  • Process payroll in a timely manner and maintain employee records.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations.
  • Follow the company’s directions, policies, procedures, quality and safety standards, while meeting building milestone deadlines
